OVERVIEW:
In this episode, host Holly Wayment from UT Health San Antonio's Department of Pediatrics is joined by Dr. Erica Sher and Dr. Nadine Haykal, pediatric ENT specialists with University Health , to delve into the complexities of diagnosing and treating pediatric ear infections. Our experts share their journeys into pediatric ENT, highlight the importance of compassionate care, and provide practical advice for managing ear infections. They discuss the challenges of diagnosing ear infections, the appropriate use of antibiotics, and the criteria for referring patients to specialists.
